In daily work, we sometimes need to extract the characters or text we need from some information or data. When it comes to character extraction, we have to mention the three string functions LEFT, RIGHT, and MID. Ok, let’s get start to learn how to use them.

Syntax:

  • LEFT(text, [num_chars])
  • RIGHT(text,[num_chars])
  • MID(text, start_num, num_chars)

The three functions of LEFT, RIGHT, and MID extract characters from the left, right, and middle respectively.
