3 Useful Tips to Help You Typeset a Long Word Document

Microsoft Word is a powerful tool for word processing. With it, you can intuitively edit the text and the layout in a document. But sometimes, you might need the help of some shortcuts and small tricks to boost the efficiency of typesetting a long Word document.

1 Quick Locate to the Beginning or the End of the Document

If there are too many pages in a document and you want to quick scroll to the end, you can press Ctrl+End on keyboard. It enables you to immediately navigate to the end of the document. And you can press Ctrl+Home to quick get back to the beginning.

2 Quick Delete Redundant Pages

If you want to deleted the first few pages in a document, for example, page 1-page 5, you don’t need to manually select the content in these pages and then delete them. You can press F5 to navigate to page 5, then press Ctrl+A to select all the content. Then hold Shift key and click the end of the page 5. Now the first 5 pages of content are all selected, you can press Delete or Backspace to delete them.

3 Quick Highlight Specific Content

To find and highlight some specific contents in a document, you can first switch to Home tab and set a color in the drop down list of Text Highlight Color.


Then press Ctrl+H and switch to Find tab. Input the content you are looking for, click Reading Highlight to enable the drop-down menu and choose Highlight All. Then the specified text will be highlighted with the color you selected.
